Also known as the Council of Construction Trade Associations of BC, or COCTA-BC, the BC Construction Action Team, consist of 12 trade associations who represent nearly 1000 union and non-union trade contractors and suppliers. Their members employ the trades men and women who install electrical and mechanical systems, manufacture and install millwork, install flooring and glazing, spray foam, hang drywall, lay bricks, set tile and a myriad of other things.

A consistent theme amongst COCTA-BC members is the commitment to quality in construction. This commitment is evidenced by member involvement in many things, including worker training and qualification, contractor and worker education, construction standards, design manuals, technical support and inspection and guarantee programs.

COCTA hopes that increased awareness of the BC Construction Action Team will provide some recognition for the organization that represents the men and women who actually "build the buildings." World class tradesmen and women and the trade contractors who employ them, are ready to help turn Olympic dreams into reality.
