Meeting Notice
Thursday September 9, 2010 - 8:30am at VRCA in the Small Meeting Room

INTRODUCTION

The BC Council of Construction Trade Associations (COCTA) was formed to represent the joint interests of the construction trades to the public, to the rest of the construction industry and to all levels of government.

Construction trade contractors and suppliers play a key role in the construction of a full range of project types - because they actually build the structures, walls, roof and internal systems of our buildings. Through its twelve associations, COCTA represents over 1000 trade contractors throughout the province of British Columbia.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

COCTA member trade associations represent a host of construction activities, but one consistent theme is the commitment to quality in construction. This commitment is evidenced by member involvement in many things, including:

  • Worker training and qualification
  • Contractor and worker education
  • Construction standards
  • Design manuals
  • Technical support
  • Inspection and guarantee programs

For information on specific trades and quality assurance programs, you'll find web links and contact information on the reverse or at or contact the Chairperson, Dana Taylor by email at danat@mcabc.org
